Leading up to Christmas 2020

 Kia ora,

I'm not going to write a whole heap about the last 18 months, but I went around today, and took photos of the state of our garden at present.

Hopefully these pics bring some light into the end of a dark year.

Well that was a hell of a hiatus!

Hi everyone,

I barely blink and the years pass - almost four of them!

We've had a busy four years in the interim, with our new addition to the family (who is almost 3 now), and our almost five-year-old keeping us on our toes.

I've gained a Level 5 Diploma in Creative Writing, and taken up poetry (blog on the way at some point, I guess).

The garden is looking pretty ignored, but takes care of itself well, especially now that we have a greenhouse

Lots of new gardens have taken shape over the past six months, while older ones have had a spruce-up.

And generally, everyone is finding their feet in 2019.

For me, I've set myself some fairly big challenges:
- Write a poetry book (almost complete)
- Complete the Level 6 Diploma in Creative Writing (almost there)
- Learn basic Te Reo (enrolled - starts soon)
- Learn to weave harakeke (slowly getting there)
- Get back to reading, and keep track of books read (starting today)
- Write another novel-length project (started yesterday)
- Get back to singing (joined a choir)

Hopefully, this blog entry marks a point where I start updating more often, and get back into creating and living.

Love to all,
Mama Fern
