Almost 2016...

The years seem to be melting away into the past. Two and a half years living here, yet so little feels like it's changed. Then you look closer, peel back the layers of history, and there, deep down, is the place that was. The place that no longer is. The place that is now so very much ours. Our home, our garden, our life.
The strawberry patch, now weeded, re-mulched, with some extra plants added, has already been giving up its treasures, sweet, juicy and so very tasty.

For the second year, our raised beds are filled with corn, beans, zucchini, tomatoes, basil, cucumbers, all the summery treats. And we've had a great haul of cauliflower and broccoli over the past months, which is almost over.

My Dublin Bay rose is at its most glorious yet, and starting to thicken its trunk and spread its branches wide.
And this, my friends, is just the front yard...
Until next time
Love to all,
Mama Fern
